Visiting scholar positions available for professors/students on data mining, machine learning, GIS, bioinformatics.

Several research positions are open to master and undergraduate students interested in data mining/machine learning.


IFM Lab Qualifications:

  • Candidates should have a quantitative background, with a master/bachelor degree in computer science, software engineering or related fields.
  • Strong interest in working in an highly interdisciplinary environment about data mining and machine learning.
  • Strong skills in algorithm design, programming, statistics and mathematics.
  • Proficiency in English academic paper reading, writing, and English communication.
  • Publication records at top-tier conferences/journals (Required for master applicants, Optional for undergraduate applicants).

CS Department Requirements: (International, Domestic )

  • Undergraduate/Master degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a degree in a related area with substantial coursework in Computer Science.

  • Official GRE scores (Minimum Requirement: 145 on Verbal; 150 on Quantitative) submitted to institution code 5219 via ETS.
  • Official TOEFL (Minimum Requirement: Total 80) scores submitted to institution code 5219 via ETS (International Student Only).
  • 3 letters of recommendation.
